Welcome
The Five Villages Preservation Trust (5VPT) was formed in 2005 to fight the huge unwanted and unneccessary Watermark Development in Kentford Heath between the Villages of Herringswell, Kentford, Kennett and Red Lodge. We successfully managed to stop this development and the background history can be viewed by clicking on the link above.
We found that there was a need for an organisation like ours in this Region to counter any unwanted, inappropriate and unsustainable large scale developments in order to preserve our wonderful rural countryside.
We are all dedicated volunteers and have the support of 15 Parish Councils* and other organisations.
IMPORTANT
The coalition government draft National Policy Framework (NPPF) Consultation is open for comments until 17 October 2011. It is important that we all engage in this. Here is a LINK to a copy of a letter from Suffolk Preservation Society explaining in detail and here is a LINK to a copy of our letter to the government. Please feel free to use our letter, even if only the summary, to write with your views.
